OpenBridge 5.0 geïntegreerd in AlphaMINDS

We hebben de nieuwe lay-out geïntegreerd op basis van OpenBridge 5.0. Door deze standaard te volgen, beschikken AlphaMINDS-applicaties nu over een verbeterde, gemoderniseerde en gestandaardiseerde gebruikersinterface. OpenBridge is speciaal ontworpen voor de maritieme sector om de ervaring van kapiteins en bemanningsleden te verbeteren.

For the past several years, we have been working closely with the OpenBridge consortium – a Norwegian industry collaboration established to enhance maritime navigation. In addition to supporting this industry standard, we also utilize the OpenBridge design guidelines in our own software developments.

OpenBridge is an integral part of our in-house developed automation and connectivity platform, Lynx, which serves as the foundation for applications such as AlphaMINDS Conning and AlphaMINDS Docking. The AlphaMINDS interfaces, containing all relevant information and controls, are easily created using an ever-growing library of the OpenBridge standard. Day, dusk, and night color palettes, along with multiple display sizes and resolutions, are predefined and selectable.

As of this week, we have integrated the new layout based on OpenBridge 5.0. By adhering to this standard, our applications now feature an improved, modernized, and standardized user interface. OpenBridge was designed specifically for the maritime sector to enhance the experience of captains and crew members. With a focus on ease of use, safety, and efficiency, this interface offers significant benefits, such as:

• Streamlined user experience: Traditional bridge systems often suffer from cluttered and inconsistent interfaces. OpenBridge 5.0 employs a modular, intuitive design to minimize cognitive overload, enabling operators to process critical information more quickly and accurately.
• Improved safety through smart alerts: Many maritime systems overwhelm users with excessive alarm notifications, leading to fatigue. OpenBridge 5.0 prioritizes relevant alerts so that critical notifications stand out, reducing unnecessary distractions and ultimately improving response times.
