Alphatron Marine excels in equipment integration and is proud of a high market share in the new building market of European river vessels. With the acquisition of Argonics and Argonav, JRC I Alphatron Marine gains essential missing components for autonomous navigation including advanced motion control and sensor fusion technologies.
By integrating digital business through seamless data sharing between ship and shore, we will not only enhance operational efficiency but also establish market leadership in new business areas. Additionally, since these technologies can be applied not only to the river market but also to deepsea commercial vessels. We aim to expand our portfolio by further increasing our market share in the large commercial vessel market with JRC, and establish our brand as the world's leading marine solutions provider.
We will continue to make proactive investments centered around our wireless communication business, accelerating growth in the marine systems segment. Furthermore, we will advance the research, development, and market introduction of elemental technologies for autonomous navigation, and work on developing new business models utilizing digital technologies.
About Argonics / Argonav
Argonics was established on 20 January 2014. The company’s first orders included propulsion control systems for rudder propellers. In November 2017, the company launched the first track keeping system for inland vessels, which has since become an indispensable component on several hundred vessels: the argoTrackPilot. Since the beginning, Argonics has been able to introduce innovative products in the field of automated navigation, vessel monitoring as well as simulation and control. At the end of 2020, Argonics established the company Argonav which focusses on inland ECDIS navigation systems. Argonics together with its sister company Argonav form a technologically leading unit in the field of inland waterway navigation.
