argoBridgePilot
The argoBridgePilot is a modern and innovative system for bridge warnings for inland waterway vessels. It supports you whilst sailing by continuously monitoring the height of the wheelhouse roof and other tall objects on the vessel, using highly accurate RTK-GNSS signals and comparing these with the height of the bridges to be passed on your route.
This check can be carried out well in advance and does not require a line of sight. This measurement already considers all effects arising from the water level or the vessel’s current draught.
The argoBridgePilot marks the bridges to be passed directly on the Inland ECDIS chart. The color used to mark the bridge indicates which bridges can be passed safely, where extra caution is required, or where there is a risk of collision. A warning is then issued in a timely manner via an additional acoustic and visual alarm.
The argoBridgePilot is available as a stand-alone product or as an option with the argoRadarPilot.
Eligible for subsidies (in Germany only)!
The argoBridgePilot meets the requirements of the ‘Guideline for the promotion of the sustainable modernisation of inland vessels for the transfer of freight transport from road to waterway’ issued by the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport and is therefore eligible for a grant. This means that the government covers up to 80% of the costs of the argoBridgePilot
